Many women have a bad knowledge about the appearance of their cunts, and have many ideas about how it should look. It is common that women think that they are deformed or abnormal since their cunts do not look like the illustrations shown in school books. Cunts displayed in those pictures are pink and symmetrical. In reality cunts are as individual as faces.

This text is about the appearance and variations of the cunt, and above all that they do look very differently and that it is a natural thing. There can be some cunts with a little unusual look, but that isn't any more unusual than there being short and tall people.

In school we learn that women have a vagina, and we can look at pictures of the vagina and the womb - the hidden parts of the female sex. But there is very little written about what is outside; her labia majora, her clitoris and her pubic mound. This act of making the visible parts of the female sex “invisible” causes many women and girls not to realize that the shape, texture, colour and size can be very different from one woman to another. Compare that to all the pictures of dicks we have seen. Boy's visible sex organs are more frequently shown, giving them the possibility of comparison with one another and greater understanding of what is normal and natural to males. Young girls may see their sex like a soft crack between their thighs. What is there is small, soft, pink and a little undecided. But even the appearance of young girl's cunts varies, even if they can look the same at a rapid glance. Many small and young girls do probably know that their mother's cunts look different than theirs, but that is probably a bit unclear since it's shaded by hair.

So even if young girls do see naked women it's probable that they think that they look just about the same. It's during our childhood that many of our values and perceptions are shaped - and that will have importance later in life. Those values, that early conditioning influences us the rest of our lives. So the picture a young girl gets of the female sex will influence her attitudes and reactions when she grows up and when she is an adult. To be conscious about that connection is a first step in a liberation process from evident or suppressed connections to her childhood experiences that are related to shame, quilt, sin and embarrassment.

Puberty - time of changes

During puberty a young girls cunt can change a lot. Before puberty the skin is thin, is easily hurt and irritated. Even before the breasts begin to grow, the development of the cunt can begin to react to higher levels of hormones in the body and begin to change. During puberty the labia majora, the labia minor and the clitoris grow considerately. The shape, color and texture will also change.

At the same time the pubic hair is beginning to grow. It is not probable that she will be conscious about the changes if she doesn't look in a mirror at the same time as she makes an examination with her hands. Even if a girl takes baths or showers with other girls it isn't certain she will notice that the others are changing as well. Girls and women are not used to looking closely at one another, even though out of pure curiosity some will probably make secret glances when given the opportunity. After puberty the girl's cunt will probably not look like it did during childhood.

When teenagers and women examine their cunt they can become aware of these changes and start to worry. Do I look strange? Am I abnormal? Is the change due to me having masturbated? Does that mean that everybody can “see” that I masturbate? How many girls have a person to ask and have answers that can diminish their worries?

Many girls that notice changes in the appearance of their cunt are afraid, they can feel guilty or shameful, and may even believe that they are being punished for having sexual feelings or sexual thoughts. That is one of the reasons why it is so important that teenagers are conscious about these natural changes. They have to know that the changes are essential and natural, to strengthen their own self-image and stop feeling ashamed of their sex.

Examine forbidden grounds

In the not to distant past it was taboo for women to even think about looking at or touching her cunt. Her own sex was forbidden grounds. To do that was a doctor's responsibility. Today women feel more comfortable with their bodies making it more probable for self exploration of their sex.

But since women know little about how other cunts look, it's not certain that they will be happy with what they find. Women often have an unrealistic picture about how they should look. Many books on anatomy portray the cunt as small and symmetric and if the pictures are in color, the cunt on the picture is symmetric and has a beautiful pink color. As a result of that, it is probable that they will feel discomfort with what they see in themselves, and in turn that can cause problems in their attitude towards sexuality. We usually hide what we are ashamed about.

Who would want to show a misshaped vagina to a partner? Who would risk being teased, mocked or being called abnormal? How big a fear to show the most intimate and hidden part of the female body can that perception create? A woman can be filled with fears like: “Nobody wants a woman with a vagina like mine.”

If the woman has an attitude of shame towards her own sex, it may be difficult for her to look at pictures of vaginas. (Even if viewing pictures could aide in her understanding that all cunts look different and that she absolutely normal.) That can also lead to her thinking that it is inappropriate or weird to look at pictures of vaginas. The thought of looking at cunts can trigger personal fears. Someone may flee from what they fear.
The truth is that pictures are an important key to women's views and understanding of the normal differences among vaginas. We believe that by doing so, a feeling of pride can begin to grow within the woman.

The wings of the butterfly

What seems to bother women most is the shape, the size and the color of their labia minor. Many women's labia minor are bigger than the labia majora. Most women do not have the almost heart shaped lips that can be seen in drawn pictures in literature. The color of the labia can be brown, almost black or pink. The lips can be thick, wrinkled, thin and/or soft. Labia minor can have many different shapes and color, which is not explained or shown in literature or in school. (The reason can be that the teacher does not know or is to shy to go in to details.)

Labia minor consist of skin. There is no cartilage or parts of the skeleton. That means that they are changeable. That means that a woman can compare labia minor before and after giving birth. That they change is totally in order.

In some cultures where long labia minor are regarded as attractive it becomes a habit among young girls and women to intentionally make them longer. They begin as small girls and continue as adults. Some use a handful of grass to get a better grip of the labia; others wind their labia around an animal's horn or a stick. They use natural things to irritate the labia to make them swollen and grow. Sensitive to estrogen

The labia minor are sensitive to the hormone estrogen and the use of the hormone can result in an enlargement and increased sensitivity. This can happen for example during pregnancy. It can feel very uncomfortable and medical treatment may be necessary. Certain other prescription medications and ointment can also cause this type of reaction. But most big labia are a result of the genes of the woman, not from outer reasons.

How big?

Labia minor can widely vary in size. Most common is that their breadth is around a centimeter or so. If you separate them so they get the form of a butterfly the size is doubled. It is reported female labia minor at the length of 7.5 centimeters and 15 centimeters from end to end when turned in to a butterfly. The size will increase about 50 percent if you pull them a bit. If she is a male after all, the diminishment of her penis will not change anything. A persons physical looks have no connection to their sex or sexual preference, since men and women are slightly different versions of the same thing. Parents should not permit cosmetic surgery on their children totally dependent on sex. If there is a medical problem, surgery may be necessary.

More than we can see…

The only real difference between a clitoris and a cock is the average size of the part which is visible to the eye. Three third of the clitoris is hidden from view. An average clitoris is about 12 centimeters, just like an unerect cock. Anatomical pictures show the clitoris entire size. The only difference is that the urethra is not ending in the top of the clitoris.

To measure

The visible part of the clitoris can, on some women, be between 5 and 2.5 centimeters in diameter. At that size they look just like a cock. The only difference is the opening underneath the cock where the urethra is placed. These women will, like most women, have an erection, the clitoris getting stiff, size doesn't matter.

An average clitoris is much smaller, between 6 mm and 19 mm long, and works as good as a bigger one. The part of the clitoris that you can feel outside the pubic bone is about 2.5 centimeters. Maybe they hope that if it was bigger, it would function better, while it would be easier for them and their partner to find it and stimulate it. Some women can even have a wish to have a cock, even if they are totally satisfied being feminine women. That means that if a woman is totally satisfied with the size of her clitoris she will probably be more sexual and more sexually receptive - regardless of the size.
